My flat is part of a former Magistrates’ Court and Police Station, dating from the Victorian era, redeveloped in the early 2000s. My flat is quirky, enchanting but difficult in terms of how best to use the space. I was struggling with what to do with my lounge/living/work area. The large circular windows were proving particularly challenging to me in terms of thinking about curtains.
I called upon Michele to provide her expertise in helping me to do something with the space that I had, source furniture that would work within the space and be compatible with my use of the flat, and also for her design service for curtains.
She drew up diagrams helping me to visualise how the space could be used, and sourced some exquisite pieces, such as a stunning coffee table. She also engaged outside providers to make curtains and install bespoke oak shelving.
At every step she provided detailed costings for her proposals, and maintained a professional and friendly service in her dealings with me. The project was delivered within the timeframe she estimated.
I was extremely pleased with the result, which maintains best use of the space and reflects my personal style and colour choices. I would certainly recommend Michele for interior design projects and would be happy to comment further if requested.

“Now that the dust has settled, I wanted to thank you for your splendid input to transforming the flat from a pleasant but dated image to the modern, bright and airy feel it now exudes.
Your attention to detail, particularly working within a limited budget, has been fantastic, and your focus to finish the work to an agreed timescale impressive. You have directly managed individual trades and suppliers with ease.
Your ‘eye’ for what will be right is always spot on, and I look forward to you visiting our home office in West Sussex to help me with colour schemes and accessories there.
I would be more than pleased to provide a reference for other clients relating to either commercial or domestic settings should you ever need one.”

Haynes Interiors delivered a project to refurbish our flat in the City of London this summer. This involved modernising and re-styling the whole flat to an amazing standard, including re-designing & refitting both our bathrooms which now look wonderfully contemporary. The lighting throughout the flat was also totally updated and has made a real difference in the kitchen and dining areas.
Michele provided planning, design and layout, colour scheme choice as well as recommending and arranging contractors and coordinating deliveries, all to meet our exacting deadline. She kept within our budget though she indicated at the outset that this would be challenging.
In particular Michele showed inventiveness in a redesign of our second, smaller bedroom to an outstanding effect that has impressed everyone who has seen it.
The result is a beautiful contemporary design that is finished to an excellent standard. We are truly delighted with the quality and professionalism of the service provided, both supportive and creative, in the refurbishment of our flat. We would highly recommend Haynes Interiors.

This is just to say how pleased we were with your efforts to help us sell our Barbican flat. Having owned it for a number of years, we had stopped seeing how tired the decor and furnishings had become and we certainly benefitted from your fresh vision and ideas. The speed with which you arranged re-decorating and re-carpeting was impressive and enabled us to put it on the market in a surprisingly short time.
We’re very grateful for your help and are happy to recommend your services.

Michele Haynes was incredibly quick and efficient; she measured up, provided various blind options i.e. colours and materials such as metallic and wood for me to choose from, and once I had decided upon a set of silver venetian blinds, had these made up.
I had an accident and was hospitalised when the blinds were delivered. Michele took over completely and had them fitted perfectly while I was away, liaising effectively with my family to obtain and return keys.
It was a pleasure to deal with someone so friendly, professional and reliable. I would highly recommend her services.
Thank you so much for your kind email and all your help – I really appreciate your cheerfulness, ideas, enthusiasm, persistence and expertise. The logistical assistance has also been invaluable, and importantly you’re great fun! I was umming and aahing about whether to get a designer to help with the flat, and now am really pleased that I did”.

Michele kindly showed me around the flat today, and I was very impressed. Judging by the “before” photographs, she has done an outstanding job”.

“The thoroughness of the Report and its attention to vital detail were most impressive, particularly in view of the short time in which you produced it.”

Trying to make a brand new apartment feel like home was a tall order with a busy working and social life and I didn’t want to compromise on style, comfort and quality. After a few months in the flat I had a basic idea of what I wanted and the windows needed dressing. I love the view of the city at night and did not want to lose this yet did need shade, privacy and darkness in the bedroom. Michele provided an excellent service that covered the design, fabric options, measurement and fitting. I really appreciated that she came to see me in the evening to discuss design options and took care of the measurement and fitting without me needing to be there. The whole finish looks really stylish and is extremely high quality. Right on brief. Thank you.
Great job, thank you
I particularly wanted to get in touch to say what a superb job you did with such attention to detail! We are most grateful to you and best wishes.
Years ago I’d have looked forward to planning a room or even, as in this instance, devising a rail system that matched an awkward combination of window- and door-openings and finding a seamstress to adapt existing curtains. But enthusiasm for the necessary research is harder to muster now, and we turned to Michele.
We never regretted doing so. She gave us, (somewhat minor customers), a gratifying degree of attention and visited whenever she thought of a possible snag or wanted to refine an idea. On one visit she carried a length of curtain track, in the form of a very long L too big for our lift, up the stairs to our sixth floor flat.
The work went without hitch and with minimal inconvenience to us. The results met all our requirements and Michele impressed us with her knowledge of makers and what is possible in a Barbican flat.
Michele of Haynes Interiors helped to re-design and decorate my Central London apartment. I couldn’t have been happier. Michele has impeccable taste, great ideas and a willingness to stick to budget. She listens and understands her client’s needs and was very professional. She is a pleasure to work with and made the experience painless.
If we move again, I will definitely use her expertise, as I know she will come up with some exciting ideas that will work perfectly.
I would highly recommend her for any job, big or small.

I used Michele of Haynes Interiors to help me achieve a great sale i.e. Property Styling for Sale Project. The thoroughness of the Home Style Report and its attention to vital detail were most impressive, particularly in view of the short time in which she produced it. Michele then handled the design and project co-ordination for this property. Her designs, creative flair and project co-ordination skills were excellent. I would utilise Michele again and highly recommend her services.
